One the UK’s leading retail and corporate challenger bank’s are looking for someone to join their Balance Sheet Management team in Treasury and provide line management to one member of the ALM team. This person will play a key role in driving the strategy of Treasury going forward and will be responsible for implementing and driving change and improvement projects
Role Description
- Responsible for integrated Treasury reporting across the Group
- Responsible for overseeing the collation and reconciliation of all interest rate risk data and other treasury data, to provide MI for reporting purposes to Treasury, GEC, ALCO, the Board, and the PRA
- Manage the bank’s interest rate risk exposure through the use of derivatives, typically interest rate swaps and ensure efficient liquidity management
- To help manage the Bank’s Treasury systems, ALMIS and ensure smooth implementation of future systems
- Aid in the effective interest rate margin management of the bank’s assets and liabilities through an effective Funds Transfer policy
- Provide cover for ALM Analysts as appropriate
- Provide cover for ALM Analysts as appropriate Provide support to the Treasurer and Head of Balance Sheet Management, as and when required
Role Requirements
- Degree holder from reputable institution
- Experience working in a Treasury Banking environment
- All round Treasury product knowledge
- Substantial interest rate risk experience
- A good understanding of the PRA regulatory landscape
- Relevant professional qualification such as CertBALM, AMCT, ACA, ACCA, CFA or CIMA preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail, rigour, and accuracy
- Proficient using Microsoft Office tools
