Senior Prudential Risk Analyst

We are supporting a leading UK Building Society, based in the South East, in their search for someone to join their strategically focussed Risk and Compliance department. In this challenging and varied role, you will be a key member of the team, collaborating with colleagues to provide analytical insight and meet prudential risk expectations as they evolve. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to progress their career in risk and analytics within a regulated financial services organisation

Role Description

  • Responsibility for production of the Mortgage Portfolio MI, evolving the pack with a particular focus on forward looking MI, business optimisation and achieving the best balance of risk and reward available in the market
  • Develop and/or validate quantitative credit risk and stress testing models
  • Attend the Credit Committee and deliver MI and insight on new mortgage lending trends
  • Support the CRO and Head of Risk and Compliance in second line oversight of ICAAP, ILAAP and Recovery and Resolution Plan
  • Provide Assurance on the Prudential side of the Society, including regulatory reporting, capital, treasury, liquidity and funding
  • Support the Risk & Compliance Team in ensuring that the Society has an effective control framework
  • Support the Risk & Compliance Team in evolving and maintaining an effective Society-wide risk culture

Role Requirements

  • Degree educated (or equivalent) and/or Risk qualification
  • Prudential Risk experience from within a similar organisation
  • Quantitative and analytical aptitude
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional SQL and/or Excel skills
  • Independent research and problem solving
  • Ability to raise concerns proactively
  • The ability to work as part of a team and liaise with various other departments within the
