We are working with an Ethical Banking client in the southern home counties to help them find somebody to lead their Treasury team. The Treasurer, with the assistance of two FTE, will be responsible for managing the Treasury function and the preparation and delivery of the key prudential policies and supporting metrics at the Bank. The role will be a member of the ALCO and present the polices for approval at the relevant committees. This Bank are have an incredible approach to ensuring their staff enjoy the best work life balance possible - including a 4 day working week as standard and the option to work fully remotely if required.
Role Description
- Manage the day-to-day Treasury function at the Bank, including investment decisions and ensuring that the bank adhere to both regulatory and internal limits at all times
- Prepare regulatory documents including the development and enhancement of the stress test models, issuing draft documents, liaising with other departments for information and tracking all changes made to the document through to final submission to the Board for approval and submission to the regulator
- Develop an accurate model to capture appropriate data for the ICAAP, ensuring that it can be used for dynamic stress and reverse stress testing purposes
- Ensure that all documents are cohesive and consistent with regards to shared content and appearance/aesthetics etc
- Work with the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) to ensure that the Recovery Plan EWI’s are adequate, fit for purpose and appropriately calibrated and ensure consistency of EWI’s with relevant risk appetite
- Ensure consistency of stress modelling, recovery options and EWIs between ICAAP/ILAAP and Recovery Plan
- Provide expert insight to support enhancements to the Bank’s Risk Management Framework and Risk Appetite
- As and when required, take the lead in any internal audits relating to aforementioned documents
- Prepare any regulatory returns that are required as part of the Capital SREP submission and be prepared to take a direct role in any supervisory reviews (most likely C SREP and L SREP)
- Lead actions required to address audit and supervisory PSM letters
- Prepare data for inclusion in the resolution plan
Role Requirements
- University graduate or equivalent experience
- Treasury, capital and liquidity with specific focus on IRRBB and liquidity
- Significant experience in delivering an ICAAP within a regulated environment
- Document writing
- Advanced Excel skills
- IT literacy (MS office)
- Knowledge of banking processes and systems
- Extensive understanding of all relevant regulations relating to prudential risk
