12 month Fixed term Contract with leading Building Society in the north of England. Very appealing working from home policy.

Role Description

  • In this role you will be responsible for supporting the transformation of hedge management including mortgage pipeline monitoring and assessment of structural positions and behavioural assumptions.

Role Requirements

  • Familiarity with the banking book and financial market products, with a broad knowledge of finance and balance sheet management within an organisation
  • An understanding of net interest margin for financial products and the factors impacting it
  • Knowledge of key behavioural assumptions impacting market risk for mortgages and savings
  • Past experience of developing proposals in a technical financial risk field for a wide audience
  • Examples of delivering change within tight deadlines and having stakeholder engagement through the journey
  • Excellent attention to detail and a pro-active attitude and continuous improvement mindset
  • Effective communication, engagement and influencing skills – demonstrating the ability to understand, define and articulate business requirements
  • You’ll be someone who is keen to help others learn and develop and, while not a manager, you’ll provide thought leadership and encourage best practice in others
