We are supporting an ambitious UK corporate bank in the northern home counties as they continue to execute their growth plans and add further resource to their Treasury department. This particular role plays a critical role in the capital management of the Bank, leading the update of the ICAAP, and inputting into future capital strategy
Role Description
- Support the Treasury team in managing capital adequacy and supporting the capital planning process, including future capital injections or capital strategies
- Support the Treasury team in managing the capital position of the Bank and its capital requirements
- Plan and develop the preparation of the ICAAP, and work alongside the Head of Treasury in building contingency options / plans
- Work alongside the Head of Treasury in preparing and developing the Recovery Plan and the SWDP
- Involvement in the development and running of capital stress testing scenarios
- Support the ALM Manager in reporting to ALCo on the results of the Bank’s FTP and RAROC methodologies
- Manage the completion of actions following reviews by Compliance and Internal Audit
- Comply with the internal policies and procedures of the Bank
Role Requirements
- Experience in prudential risk related activities focusing on capital risk management
- Demonstrable strength in understanding banking regulation, in particular capital requirements
- Experience of ICAAP development, either as the author or a major contributor
- Understanding of stress testing and scenario analysis
- Knowledge of capital planning
- Ability to produce management information for the Bank’s ALCo
- Ability to work independently on day to day tasks and assigned initiatives
- Experience working across functions and in multi-disciplinary teams to achieve bank wide initiatives
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to clearly articulate complex issues in a simple and coherent manner
- Demonstrated ability to work in a self-directed and fast paced environment
- Organised and detail orientated; capable of prioritising work in order to meet multiple deadlines
