The Treasury Analyst role is being created primarily to support the Treasury Director in the management of day to day running of the Treasury function and to assist with ongoing and ad hoc projects as they occur. The individual must be capable of dealing with a treasury environment which supports regulated businesses across a number of key jurisdictions. Dealing with both internal and external stakeholders in those regions, this person will need to demonstrate an ability to own treasury processes, be culturally aware, communicate confidently and is looking to develop their treasury experience in a forward thinking, fast paced, dynamic foreign exchange and payments company.
Role Description
- Produce daily forecasts of group cash balances and borrowing requirements.
- Execute Treasury role in management of the group’s Safeguarding and Client Assets as required by local payment service and banking regulations.
- Arrange funding of payments across the group. Requires working with different banking partners to ensure payments are successful.
- Assist the Treasury Director in maintenance of all bank accounts and banking relationships across the group.
- Support maintaining all dealing and bank mandates.
- Monitor and execute Treasury FX trades as part of daily cash management process and in support of group FX hedging strategies.
- Ensure compliance with Treasury policies, guidelines and operating processes, as well as appropriate statutory, legal and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare periodic and ad hoc reporting for senior management, providing information on cash, debt and FX trading.
- Maintain updated Treasury Operations Manual, workflows and delegated authorities to ensure all Operational processes are documented and relevant.
- Assist the Treasury Director in successful implementation of key Treasury systems – Treasury Management System and Bank Accounts / Charges Management System
- Be highly proficient in data and systems, and take a lead within the team for optimal utilisation of the systems and automation opportunities
- Liaise with banking relationships at an operational level and resolve queries and other requests.
- Coordinate Treasury activities across wider Finance function, Payment Operations, Customer Service, FIG and group entities
- Build tools and techniques to monitor and report compliance to Senior Management.
- Generate and develop ideas for process improvements/efficiencies
- Involvement in ad hoc business/department projects.
Role Requirements
- The ideal candidate will either be newly qualified ACT / ACCA or studying towards a professional accounting or treasury qualification with experience of working within a bank, financial institution or corporate treasury environment. Knowledge of foreign exchange and payment services would be an advantage.
- Advanced Excel, treasury products and services within FX and Payments business. Knowledge of SQL/VBA an advantage.
