Treasury Operations Manager, Sussex

The primary role purpose relates to management and development of the Treasury Operations onshore and offshore teams, to ensure efficient delivery of business-as-usual activity and implementation of process improvement. The role provides support to the Head of Treasury Operations and interacts with Treasury Global Process Manager and the Treasury Operations Change manager.

Role Description

  • Management of the onshore EMEA Treasury Operations team to ensure that the day to day payment services are delivered in line with SLA, and to also ensure liquidity management and cash investment is optimised. A key focus is developing the onshore EMEA Treasury Operations team, identifying opportunities to drive process improvement, best-in-class ways of working, efficiencies and foster team collaboration.
  • Overseeing the offshore Treasury Operations team to validate and challenge processes and to identify efficiency opportunities, leading the periodic Operational Reviews from a treasury perspective. Building on the close relationship with the offshore team is fundamental to driving further efficiencies.
  • Build a culture of continuous improvement; work with operations teams to define and implement process metrics and KPIs and ensure consistent definitions across regional / BU teams in the process pillar. Also responsible for coordinating the creation and monitoring of SLAs.
  • Build solid relationships with the various Treasury and Finance teams and with the broader organisation in order to foster collaboration to a common goal for maintaining and delivery of a consistent global Treasury Operations model and strategy. Contribute with key stakeholders for promoting existing Treasury systems as the key architecture to support new initiatives
  • Develop concise management information in conjunction with the change and reporting manager to ensure Treasury metrics and performance is identified and communicated. Ensure routine production and distribution in accordance with agreed timelines.
  • Support the revision of the strategy to a new Treasury Operations model to accommodate new initiatives, enhancements and maintenance moving to Digital, further automation and new payment initiatives.
  • Play a key management role in EMEA Treasury operations through routine interaction with the Head of Treasury Operations, the Global Process Manager, the Change and Reporting Manager and the Treasury Systems and Business Analyst.
  • Supporting the Head of Treasury Operations in driving a continuous improvement strategy including the ongoing review of existing treasury processes and structures, implementing digital transformation and STP automation

Role Requirements

  • Proven people management skills with emphasis on collaboration and team building
  • Proven ability to achieve results through others, demonstrating the ability to influence and coerce, whilst maintaining a mutually respectful and beneficial relationship with other key stakeholders to meet timely delivery of operational project deadlines.
  • Strong capability and experience in report production, presentations and analytical reviews
  • Proven ability to build relationships with key stakeholders and working closely with SME’s outside of treasury.
  • Understanding a diverse and broad payment landscape and technical system architecture.
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and provide thought-leadership to new ideas and processes.
  • Experience working within a global treasury team in a large multinational organisation.
  • Minimum of a Bachelors a degree, with ACT or Chartered Accountant qualification desirable.
  • Fluent English – no foreign language skills required
  • Start time is 8am.
