Head of Treasury (Bristol based)

Regional Financial Services firm, based in Bristol, have an opportunity in their wider finance function to lead a small Treasury team in the position as Head of Treasury. This role requires weekly office attendance of at least 3-days.

Role Description

  • Reporting the Financial Controller, you will manage the firms treasury activities, including liquidity management, cash flow forecasting, banking and counterparty management, and oversight of financial risk within approved risk appetite. This role requires expertise of forward thinking in managing excess liquidity and optimising capital, in line within Financial Conduct Authority regulatory requirements.

Role Requirements

  • Commitment to work in Bristol for 3-days per week
  • Prior experience in a buy side/ investment management firm; or related industry where protecting client money is the regulators key priority
  • Treasury front office operational experience – dealing; counterparty and bank relationships etc
  • Proven strategic achievements of long term liquidity planning through to execution
  • Ability to strengthen controls, improve processes and build high-quality management information
  • A collaborative leader able to build strong working relationships across Financial Control, Finance Operations, Reporting, Risk, Compliance and the wider business, as well as with banks, HMRC, advisers and auditors.
